July 4 Road Race and Festivities

The BAA and Town of Boxford Recreation Committee sponsor several family activities in celebration of Independence Day, including a road race, parade, and barbecue.  The festivities are usually scheduled on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th of July, depending on which day of the week the holiday occurs.

Set in the historic East Boxford Village, the Jennifer Tinney Memorial 4th of July Road Race is a popular five-mile competitive event open to all adults.  Awards are presented to the top finishers.  For the children, there is a one-mile Kid's Race and three-mile Walk For Fitness.  Registration is online using the link above or via mail-in form (see below).  Proceeds are directed to the Jennifer Tinney Scholarship Fund at Masconomet High School, honoring the former Masco track captain, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver.

We are always looking for VOLUNTEERS before, during, and after the race.  If you are available to help, please contact us using the email address listed below.
